As the new Website Coordinator I thought a short introduction about myself would be appropriate. Residing in Tasmania, I completed my Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Tasmania in 2002. After completing my GNP, and two years of perioperative nursing at the North West Regional Hospital in Burnie, I sought experience further afield. Working as a perioperative nurse in the NHS in Scotland, and then the DOH in the UAE, I gained a wealth of exposure to different surgeries and cultures, and my first surgical assisting experiences. Upon returning to Tasmania in 2011 I completed Professional Honours in Perioperative Nursing (2012), and then a PNSA Masters Degree (2015). My assisting is in upper GI, metabolic surgery, general, and orthopaedics.
For me, the opportunity to take on the role of Website Coordinator brings with it feelings of excitement that I can offer a contribution to AANSA, mixed with nervousness as I have very little IT experience.
That said, I need your input. If you have any ideas regarding website improvements or content, please feel free to email website@aansa.org.au to assist me in providing you with the website you want.
