New Executive Members 2015

Dear All,

The AANSA Executive would like to welcome Steve Bruni (from SA) to the role of Website Co-Ordinator.  Steve has kindly offered to take on this role and work closely with Liz Hill (Membership Secretary) to ease the load whilst she is in the process of moving her family overseas to Qatar for the next three years.  Steve has just finished his Masters and has time to burn so brings a new energy to the Executive and some fresh eyes to the website role.

We would also like to welcome Suzanne Wills (VIC) to the role of Victorian State Representative as due to family and work commitments Kylie Cross whom has given her time over the past three years in this role has decided to step down.  We would like to thank Kylie for all her hard work and support on the executive and wish her well.  Suzanne will be sending me a short bio for you all to read shortly and she comes to the role also with a little time to burn and a new energy to continue to assist the Victorian AANSA membership and the executive.

A brief on Suzanne…

Suzanne Wills

Having completed her training at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne, during the 1980s Suzanne Wills spent some years travelling the world before settling back in Australia. She committed her nursing practise to the perioperoperative suite, eventually specialising in orthopaedic, plastic reconstruction and aesthetic surgeries.

Suzanne expanded her scope of practise through studies in the role of Preoperative Nurse Surgeons Assistant. Mixing this role with maintaining an ANUM position within Cabrini Health, Suzanne works full time. Breast reconstruction has developed to be her main assisting focus but she likes to maintain her skills in other areas. She believes as a nurse assistant you can never be too sure when she will required to step up to an emergency case requiring other specialist nurse surgeons assistant skills.

Ongong studies in expressive therapies and medical tattooing further complements the care of her patients’ perioperative journey.

Suzanne believes the balance between the personal and family life with professional is a must and not to be ignored. She says, “get the balance right In your lounge and in the periop then you can have the ‘suitest’ time”.

Welcome to Suzanne…

That’s all folks!
